Concert backstage passes are passes that are made for music events and give access to concerts and festivals, for any type of music whether it's rock, hip-hop, alternative, electronic music, pop, country, jazz, classical, etc ...
Concert backstage passes can divided in four categories:
· All Access Pass: This is the most important pass, as it usually gives access to the show, to the backstage area as well as to the pre-show and post-show parties. Because of its importance, the all access pass is only released to a few people, which include the performers, their entourage, their management, their crew as well as to the staff working at the venues. All access passes are usually distributed by management. · Crew Pass: as its name implies, this is a pass specifically designed for the crew, which is composed of regular employees as well as the temporary help that might be hired to help setting up the stage, carrying the amps and instruments, checking tickets, etc ... · VIP Pass: this pass gives access to the performance as well as to the parties. VIP passes are usually distributed to friends of the performers, contest winners and fan club members. While they are usually free, they sometime can be bought as part of some deluxe packages that include meet and greet with the artists. · Press Pass: this pass is given away to members of the press, which include journalists, music critics, freelance photographers and music bloggers.
Concert backstage passes are generally laminated, feature the type of access available and must be worn around your neck. In some rare cases, they can even feature a picture and the name of the holder. Concert backstage passes can also be found in the form of simple wristbands, which color indicated the type of access granted.
