Hip hop is a traditional dancing style that has gained popularity in the recent days. Having origins in the America, hip hop style is more of African American dancing. In the present century, hip hop has become very popular in all countries. The number of hip hop artists is increasing and you can find schools teaching hip hop worldwide. The hip hop is highly popular among the youth who are leading joyful lives. The way hip hop that is used is different in America and Africa.

African music is best suited for all types of dancing and hip hop is no exception. Hip hop music has its origin in Africa and DJs performing the music during hip hop dancing create fresh sounds with the polyrhythm of African music. Hip hop music requires multiple varying beats and this is clearly satisfied by the African music.

During 1970's hip hop was very popular among African American people who had the pleasure in entertaining the audience. Even today, you can find a number of African American people excelling in dancing hip hop. The hip hop artists are traveling to many countries to make the dancing style popular. The American hip hop is now danced in Africa to the African music. While the American hip hop is into creating new hip hop styles and improvising the style, African hip hop is concerned with African problems. American youth are interested in hip hop as a new dancing style but the lyrics used in American hip hop are often criticized. African hip hop concentrates more on the African situation using the African music.

African hip hop artists are using hip hop as a means to attract young Africans and let them realize the actual condition of the country. Since violence against women is high in Africa, there are only a few female hip hop artists in Africa. The entertaining African music is now used in African hip hop to talk about the violence against women. The dancing also depicts the present condition of the country where there are a large number of HIV patients. People of Senegal brought hip hop into Africa and they are now striving to educate youth about the ways which will eventually lead to the development of the country.

American hip hop is less concerned about social messages and the American artists are taking steps to attract their audience. The dancing style is improving greatly and the other countries are adopting the same styles. The hip hop groups in America are formed with men and women who are capable to doing distinct hip hop steps. The world is astonished by the talents of the African American hip hop artists. Hip hop is now being used in Africa as a means for educating the people about their right. Sexual violence and violence against women are the key messages delivered through hip hop dancing. The African hip hop artists are not interested in mixing politics and dance. They stay away from the politicians but have more concern for the African people.
